Cabin Air Filters
Cabin Air Filters from Fram, Mann, Bosch, and TYC
What is a Cabin Air Filter?
A Cabin Air Filter is used to filter the air drawn into a vehicle’s interior by the climate control system. It is designed to filter out dust particles and other pollutants, keeping the air inside the vehicle fresher, cleaner, and easier on your lungs.
When Should You Replace a Cabin Air Filter?
Cabin air filters are often overlooked when it comes to vehicle upkeep, but just like engine air filters and oil filters they are a normal part of vehicle maintenance and should be changed at regular intervals. You can normally tell if a cabin air filter needs replacing just by looking at it, as it may be blackened and/or clogged with dust and debris.
It is recommended that you change a vehicle’s cabin air filter every 25,000 km, or every year depending on air quality and driving habits. Not only will a new cabin air filter clean the air you breathe, it will improve the performance of the climate control system, cooling or heating the interior of the vehicle more efficiently.
